Meridian, MS- With the economy headed in the wrong direction and an unemployment rate more than two points higher now than when he left office, Governor Ronnie Musgrove is calling for the return of fiscal responsibility and a change in Washington.
"It is time to protect the values we hold dear because for too long Washington has been protecting the values of the special interests. They have borrowed too much money from, and mortgaged our future to, countries like China and India," Musgrove said during a campaign trip through East Mississippi.
Mississippians are suffering from Washington's wasteful spending, pork barrel politics, favors for special interests and campaign donors, and partisan politics.
Families are being squeezed by the price of gas, and everything else, and are struggling to get by.
